Our apartments in Lake Highlands, Dallas have beautiful floor plans and fixtures, if we do say so ourselves! But no apartment is complete without the unique furniture and decor our amazing residents bring into their homes to make them their own! Not everyone is an interior decorating master, though, and with so many options, it can be challenging to pick the perfect furniture for your apartment! That’s why we’re taking a moment to give you some inspiration for simple pieces of furniture that will elevate any apartment and make it feel like home.
If you know any friends or neighbors in our community of upscale Lake Highlands apartments who are looking to redecorate or fill an empty spot in their apartment, don’t hesitate to send them this post! For now, read on and let us tell you a little about our favorite apartment furniture options.
A Canopy Bedframe
A four-poster canopy bed frame wouldn’t work in every apartment, but with our lofty ceilings, a canopy bed is an amazing way to elevate the look of any bedroom. We highly recommend a wrought iron frame for an industrial, modern feel that will go beautifully with the dark custom cabinetry throughout the apartment.
A Drop-leaf Table
A drop-leaf table is perfect for smaller apartments or as additional dining, gaming, or seating options for our more spacious floor plans! These tables can easily be tucked away to free up floor space and offer lots of versatility that makes hosting gatherings of friends and family effortless. It’s perfect for folks who need to go from homebody to host in the blink of an eye.
A Simple Coffee Table
The perfect coffee table makes a huge difference to any home. There are lots of different kinds of coffee tables out there, but a simple wooden or metal table is often best for modern apartments like ours. Coffee tables can also serve as additional storage for odds and ends, or a fun way to display your favorite books, plants, or other decors.
Nesting Side Tables
A side table or three is a living room staple, but the extra space they take up can be frustrating on those days when you don’t have any guests over and you’d rather have extra open floor space. Nesting side tables solve this problem perfectly, storing the extra tables away until you need them. Side tables are a must-have for frequent hosts, and when not holding drinks or snacks, make a great spot for small potted plants, a stack of books, or other faves you want to display. For even more storage efficiency, nest a small basket underneath your nesting side tables if possible—perfect for blankets, dog toys, and more.
