What’s your plan for getting organized during the holiday season? Your upscale Lake Highlands apartments will look their best when they’re organized, which is why we think it’s so important that you develop a plan to tidy up. After all, the holidays bring friends and family who will more than likely be seeing the inside of your apartment at some point. You’ll want to make a good impression, and the best way to do that is to organize your place in a way that maximizes your available floor space. Need some help getting started? We’ve got you covered.
In the blog post below, we’ll be telling our residents about three of the most effective apartment organization tips we know. You’re not going to be able to get your place organized overnight, but the tips on this list should help you be more organized every day. Wouldn’t it be nice to come home to a tidy apartment every night? We think so too.
With that in mind, let’s jump right into this week’s blog post! When you’re done reading through it, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends. Better yet, go ahead and share it with your neighbors at your favorite community of Lake Highlands apartments!
Choose shelving that’s tall and narrow.
In general, shelving that’s short and squat is not your friend. It’s going to take up a whole bunch of floor space without offering you much in the way of vertical storage. You want to incorporate pieces that will draw people’s eyes upwards — not towards the floor. This is a good way to make your place look more spacious while also giving you some extra storage space!
Bring in more baskets and boxes.
The number one reason that apartments get messy is that people don’t have places to put all their things. The more boxes and baskets you have, the more designated storage spots you’ll have for your various knick-knacks. Next time you’re out shopping, pick up a few extra boxes and baskets and see if it doesn’t make a big difference in terms of how organized your apartment is!
Set up your entryway.
When you walk into your apartment, you probably set down all your things and kick off your shoes. That moment can create a big mess in your entryway that’s hard to deal with, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Try adding hooks, drawers and a shoe rack to your entryway to deal with the initial mess that’s created when you walk in the front door.
