There’s no place better to live in Dallas than upscale Lake Highlands apartments. Here you’re surrounded by so many great places to eat and things to do. To sum it up, life at The Lookout is pretty great. Since we covered tasty pizza joints in our last blog, this time we’re going to take a look at some non-food related things to do in the area.
This week’s blog will cover a few things to do in the area that are great rain or shine, and if you’re entertaining out of town guests. We’re sure these at least one activity here that you’ll enjoy.
Let’s get to it. Oh, and when you’re done reading through the post below, please feel free to share it with your friends. Better yet, go ahead and share this post with your neighbors at The Lookout — the apartments Lake Highlands residents choose for luxury living.
You don’t have to be a golf pro to enjoy a few hours at Topgolf. This activity is perfect for all ages regardless of their golfing ability and the weather conditions. Topgolf has several types of games for players to choose from and a full bar and kitchen to order from. The most popular game here is the centers’ namesake and has players aiming to hit various targets on their bay. The closer your ball gets to the target, the more points you earn.
Their website typically has a number of offers and specials running so check it out if you’re thinking of testing out your backswing.
Located on SMU’s campus, the Bush Center gives a unique glimpse of our 43rd President and First Lady. The Center features both an expansive museum in addition to a 15-acre park, which allows visitors to explore native Texas environments. Visitors can walk through a series of permanent and rotating exhibits focused on the issues and policies that mattered the most to the Bush’s.
This is a great option for history buffs or those simply interested in learning more about George W. Bush’s presidency. You can easily spend the whole day here.
White Rock Creek Trail
Our next local activity brings us to the great outdoors. The White Rock Creek Trail is right near The Lookout and a top spot among residents. This trail is one of the oldest in the city and connects to several other trails to provide access to 35 miles of shaded trails. If you’re an avid cyclist or runner, these uninterrupted trails are perfect for getting in your miles without the hassles of traffic and busy roads.
