It’s finally November, which means everyone living in Lake Highlands apartments is gearing up for the holiday season. You might not be hearing any holiday music yet, but you’re probably at least seeing Thanksgiving specials in the grocery store. Turkey Day will be here before you know it, which means it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to bring to the family gathering. It’s got to be tasty, easy to make and different than all the other dishes that will be on the table. That might sound like a daunting task, but we’re here to help.

In the blog post below, we’ll be sharing three recipes that you can use to whip up crowd-pleasing meals for Thanksgiving Day. We tried to keep it simple so even the novice chefs who read this blog can find a recipe that seems feasible.

Let’s get right to the list of recipes, shall we? Oh, and when you’re done reading through this week’s post, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and anyone else who might be interested in learning more about The Lookout — the apartments Lake Highlands residents choose for luxury living.

Pear Harvest Salad

Make sure you have these ingredients before you get started:

  • Cider Vinegar
  • Cubed Cooked Turkey Breast
  • Olive Oil
  • Honey
  • Medium Pears
  • Ripe Avocado
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Red Onion
  • Blue Cheese
  • Almonds
  • Mixed Salad Greens

The person who brings the salad to Thanksgiving dinner is usually thought of as a hero to anyone who’s on some sort of diet. You can be that hero by making this delicious, festive pear harvest salad. It’s healthy, yes, but it’s also got plenty of sweetness, a bit of spice and flavor packed into every bite. Give it a shot this Turkey Day, everyone!

Sausage-Stuffed Acorn Squash

Make sure you have these ingredients before you get started:

  • Medium Acorn Squash
  • Bulk Spicy Pork Sausage
  • Chopped Onion
  • Finely-Chopped Fresh Spinach

If you want to be the person who brings the best-looking meal, you’re going to want to whip up this stuffed-acorn squash recipe. There may be no dish that screams fall more than a stuffed acorn squash, what with the fall colors, rich flavors and festive appearance.

Turkey-Cranberry Bagels

Make sure you have these ingredients before you get started:

  • Toasted Bagels
  • Sliced and Cooked Turkey
  • Whole-Berry Cranberry Sauce
  • Provolone Cheese

The last recipe on our list is also the easiest to make. It’s really more of an appetizer than an entree or side dish, but we still think it’s worth bringing to the table. After all, people need something to munch on while they wait for the main meal to start. We love these little Thanksgiving-themed bagels because they’re trendy, simple and look as good as they taste. We hope you love ‘em too!
